III CONGRESS OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES

Presentation and objectives

In 2010, the Congress of Environmental Sciences and Technologies was held, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development, COLCIENCIAS, the Colombian Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences – ACCEFYN, the Colombian Network of Environmental Training – RCFA, the Association of Regional Corporations – ASOCARS, the Doctorate of Environmental Sciences of the universities of Cauca, Valle and Technological University of Pereira, the National University of Colombia, the University of Applied and Environmental Sciences – UDCA and the Green College Corporation of Villa de Leyva – CCVV.

Subsequently in 2015, the Second National Congress of Environmental Sciences was held, convened by the Colombian Network of Environmental Training – RCFA and the Technological University of Pereira – UTP, which took place in the city of Pereira – Risaralda, on October 21, 22 and 23, 2015.

This year, the Colombian Environmental Training Network – RCFA and the University of the Coast CUC, are pleased to invite the national and international academic community, members of the National Environmental System and the business sector to participate in the III National Congress of Environmental Sciences which will take place in the city of Barranquilla, on October 23, 24 and 25, 2017.

Objectives

• To generate knowledge from an interdisciplinary, holistic and systemic vision of the human being – society – nature relationship, consolidating theoretical and scientific perspectives and postulates to promote the solution of national and regional environmental problems.
• To foster a space for the presentation of results and experiences derived from research, social outreach and teaching activities.
• To contribute to the epistemological construction of Environmental Sciences.
• To create spaces for interaction between Academia, the State and Business, so that training and scientific developments are applied to the needs of the environment.
• To create a space that allows for the strengthening of the Colombian Environmental Training Network
