He is David Pulido, an eighth-semester Music student, who is also passionate about writing, thus achieving third place, among more than 160 participants, for the best short story during the XXVII international cultural week of the municipality of Gachancipá.
This recognition, which was granted by the municipal administration, was made on November 12 and took into account, for the award, aspects such as creativity, originality, literary resources, spelling, vocal and body expression.
Thus, in the activity that was also accompanied by the municipal library, David presented himself in the adult category, with the story "The Registrar" which is about a woman who wants to do justice and democracy in an imaginary town, from which she finally has to flee; with this story he managed to pass several filters to obtain this honorable place.
It's worth mentioning that just four months ago, David also won first place with his short story "The Promise" in the 2022 Alexandria Departmental Short Story Prize. "Writing is an art, and I like all the arts, and now I've taken a chance on this one, which I've fortunately been able to combine with my musical career. Thanks to the academy and our environment at the University of Cundinamarca, we've been able to, for example, learn to write," David said.
In this way, David, who also received a financial incentive for this achievement, is now competing in the world writing competition where he is already among the semifinalists.
