Despite the well-known importance of health for human beings, in many territories, it is still not a primary issue in practice. This is why the United Nations included SDG 3, which promotes health and well-being for all human beings and, according to the UN, aims to "reduce the maternal and child mortality rates, end the AIDS epidemic and communicable diseases, ensure access to sexual and reproductive health services, and achieve universal and quality health coverage.".
“From the Directorate of Social Interaction (ISU), we highlight the work carried out by the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Cundinamarca, led by Dr. María Nancy Garzón Soche, where professionals are trained for life in the prevention and care of physical and mental diseases, and actions for the improvement of the living conditions of the population in the region,” said Patricia Gil, ISU director.
