“Holding a graduates' breakfast provides the ideal opportunity for graduates from different generations to reconnect with their alma mater. More than just a breakfast, it's a forum for alumni to recognize the significant experiences of UCundinamarca graduates and their contributions to society. It also serves as an ideal space for academic program leaders to share progress, future plans, and achievements, such as curriculum revisions and the renewal of accreditation.”, Yency Alexandra Beltrán Vargas, Coordinator of the Graduate Office, pointed out.
The special breakfast also served as an opportunity for the Graduate Office to highlight the benefits of being a UCundinamarca graduate, projects and activities that the process is undertaking to expand opportunities for participation in university life, as well as the postgraduate and virtual and distance education programs.
The meeting was attended by more than 20 graduates of the Systems Engineering program, Fusagasugá Campus, and began with a discussion with the dean of the faculty, Dr. Wilson Joven Sarria, the coordinator of the Systems Engineering program, Milton Buitrago, the graduate representative to the University Superior Council, Nancy Moreno Amezquita, the graduate representative to the Faculty Council, Fabián Cuesta, and the director of the Office of Virtual and Distance Education, Catalina Barragán.
In her cordial greeting, Dr. Nancy Moreno thanked the graduates for their participation and extended an express invitation to continue being active agents in institutional processes.

For his part, Dean Joven Sarria highlighted the importance of graduates to the University, and emphasized the Digital Transmodern Educational Model MEDIT, the strategic plan and the rector's plan, and how the graduate community are fundamental actors in the processes of evolution of our Institution, and of curricular redefinition and renewal of qualified registration.
The progress, projections, and achievements of the Systems Engineering program were presented by the program coordinator, Engineer Milton Buitrago, who outlined the program's evolution over its 22 years using a timeline. He began by describing the program's offerings and how it has changed to remain at the forefront nationally and globally. A team of faculty members then briefly summarized the program's major achievements and challenges throughout its history.
Next, the graduates shared their significant professional experiences, concerns, and expectations regarding the University. The administration received proposals related to aspects of the Systems Engineering program curriculum that significantly contribute to continuous improvement processes.
“As the main participants in the event, the presentation of each of the graduates who joined us was very successful, demonstrating in each of them immense pride, gratitude, and love for the institution that educated them. They also shared life experiences in their professional fields that reflect dedication, perseverance, and constant evolution, demonstrating that they are well-rounded individuals shaped by life, democratic values, civic responsibility, and freedom.“”Beltrán Vargas, coordinator of the Graduates Office, highlighted this.”.
The presentation of the virtual and distance learning program was led by Engineer Catalina Barragán, the process leader, who emphasized the importance of the graduates and highlighted their professional skills and competencies.
