Paola Andrea Estupiñan Beltrán (may she rest in peace), was born in Bogotá. She began her undergraduate studies at the University of Cundinamarca, Girardot branch, in the Nursing program, and graduated in 2012. The news of her passing was announced on February 25, 2021. “We deeply regret this loss and extend our condolences to her family during this time of grief,” said the Academic Vice-Rector, María Eulalia Ochoa B.
During her time at university, her friends and classmates remember Paola Andrea as a person of great human qualities, a family woman, disciplined, cheerful, intelligent, maternal and with a vocation for the care and well-being of the patient.
Her comprehensive professional development in nursing, knowledge and contributions were made at the San Sebastián Clinic in Girardot, in the area of pediatrics, and these last two years at the Junical Clinic in the same city, in emergency services and the Intensive Care Unit.
This is how they remember her
Angela Xiomara Sánchez Bocanegra (Coworker):
“I will remember her for her great leadership, teamwork, and dedication to the well-being and care of the patient. As a life anecdote, she was passionate about nursing; if someone became incapacitated or went through any hardship, she would double up on shifts. She was a woman devoted to her profession who had a great sense of belonging to the institution.”.
Melissa Bermudez (University classmate):
“Pao and I were in contact via chat; I’ve lived in Mexico for years. I remember her as having a great maternal instinct; she cared about us. During my student days, she always motivated us to excel academically. She was cheerful, a woman who taught me valuable lessons during the time we shared university studies.”.
Gustavo Garzón (University classmate):
“We will remember Paola as a cheerful, determined person, with a gift for service, an empowered woman who, when she set her mind to a project, achieved it. In my university years, I recall long days and late nights of studying with her; her mind was brilliant for learning, she was very intelligent.”.
