The joy that characterized teacher Luis Hernando López Vargas will live on in the hearts of those who walked a path alongside him; family, colleagues, teachers, students and administrative staff of UCundinamarca, who today wholeheartedly accompany his wife, children and family.
López Vargas had been serving as coordinator of the specialization in Management for Organizational Development for a year and a half and for more than eight years was a teacher in the Business Administration and Public Accounting programs.
UCundinamarca pays tribute to the teacher who for years gave his best to the Institution, always demonstrating a high sense of commitment to the education of each of his students.
His colleagues at the Postgraduate Studies Department remember him as a person always willing to help others, with great empathy, commitment, and kindness. “He was undoubtedly a collaborator, responsible, and always willing to support all processes. He was charismatic and appreciated by the program's faculty. He always supported us regardless of his role, and we know he was an excellent husband and a great father. We will always remember him for his warmth and joy,” said María Angélica Cervantes Muñoz, Director of Postgraduate Studies at UCundinamarca.
His students will remember Professor Luis Hernando for his teachings in which he spoke to them about contributing to the conservation and recovery of the environment and leading organizations with an ethical and progressive sense.
For his part, Professor Manuel Ricardo González Moreno, a friend and colleague, expressed that this is one of the most difficult moments for this University, for postgraduate studies, and for the specialization in Management for Organizational Development. “Professor Luis Hernando always spoke to us about how loyalty and camaraderie were paramount for developing the institutional mission and vision. His people skills, the way he interacted with students, fellow professors, and administrators, will leave an indelible mark.”.
Peace to the grave of the father, husband, friend, and teacher.
