Human rights: part of professional training?

The Girardot branch's leadership welcomed 150 students who will be participating in the nursing, environmental engineering, business administration, and tourism and hotel management technology programs. This year, the branch focused its orientation session on raising awareness among future professionals about the importance of life skills, personal development, and preparing them for the challenges of tomorrow.
“Training professionals is our mission; forming citizens in democratic values, civility, and freedom is our challenge,” said Juan Carlos Méndez Forero, administrative director of the branch, as he began his welcome address to the new students of the University of Cundinamarca. “The institution is a learning campus that will welcome you to be a strategic ally in your life project, wishing you success in your professional and personal journey.”.
The orientation week at the branch campus included integration activities, a parents' workshop, and topics related to university life; in addition to the presentation of the portfolio of services offered by University Welfare in the areas of culture, sports and recreation, health promotion, socioeconomic programs, safety and health workshops, library services, computer rooms, laboratories, and auditoriums.
