Free diploma program for graduates from Chía

After teamwork between administrators, teachers and representatives of the graduates of the Chía extension, the Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Innovation was launched on Friday, May 30, which begins on May 8 and will last 120 hours.

“This diploma program is designed according to the profiles of our graduates in Business Administration, Public Accounting and Systems Engineering from UCundinamarca, Chía extension,” stated Jorge Rico, a professor at UCundinamarca.

According to the teacher, the diploma program, which will be free for graduates, will give them tools to face today's world, which is mediated by technology and pushes young people to become entrepreneurs.

Graduates of the Chía extension will receive an email with the link to connect to this diploma course, which will have three components or modules and will conclude with a Networking day.

The components are:

1- Conceptualization component of methodologies for entrepreneurship and digital businesses: In this stage, graduates will see fundamental content on entrepreneurship and innovation, the new reality and digitization, information methodologies and how to achieve a viable digital product.

“It is necessary for graduates to have an entrepreneurial idea that is in line with the market and to be able to structure it at a digital level,” explained Professor Jorge Rico.

2- Entrepreneurship project management component: Guidance for entrepreneurial ideas, managerial skills, planning, interest management and monitoring of ventures will be the topics developed in this part of the diploma.

“It is vitally important to understand the realities in the global context. This second phase will give us tools to move forward with managing these ideas,” said Professor Jorge Rico.

3- Financial structure component of entrepreneurial projects: During this last component, financial topics will be developed and how to manage them will be studied, what the investment is, the estimate to have a financial structure for entrepreneurs and everything related to potential profits.

“Ideally, graduates would be able to integrate these three phases, take their project, consolidate it, and move to an exponential stage,” explained Professor Rico, who also stated that after fulfilling these components, they can participate in a graduate networking event as an opportunity to learn about the projects, participate in them, and “create an entrepreneurial network where professors, students, graduates, and administrative staff of UCundinamarca support these business initiatives.”.

Edugaming

During the launch event, Edison Cañón, a graduate of the Systems Engineering program at UCundinamarca, took the opportunity to present a platform where learning can be achieved through play.

“Edugaming is a new pedagogical strategy,” the teacher stated, and invited the attendees to participate in a dynamic activity that consisted of entering the platform through a link, carefully reading the information contained there in 9 stages of concepts, listening to the audios and answering some questions to make learning fun.

The motivation for the attendees was that the first three to successfully complete the activity would receive a place in any continuing education program.

At the end of the activity, he announced the names of the winning graduates: Alexander López Pulido, Camila Sánchez and Ricardo Malagón, who answered the questions in the shortest time and correctly.
