The University of Cundinamarca, through its Facatativá extension, in partnership with the municipality's Department of Education, trained 38 primary and secondary school teachers from the region in English at levels A1-B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Approximately 1,500 students benefited from the agreement, which aimed to improve teachers' English proficiency for teaching and mastering a second language.
This certification, awarded to teachers who were trained by UCundinamarca, was made official at the Facatativá extension, an event led by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Political Science, University Interaction and the English Coordination.
It is worth highlighting that these academic units have been developing high-impact projects in the community to improve people's English level, as well as carrying out several projects with teachers and students from the public sector based on immersion and courses with the aim of increasing the knowledge and use of the English language in the department.
