Experiences that enrich the sport

The event took place on February 29 and March 1, 2024 at the Colombian Olympic Committee, where the University of Cundinamarca joined other higher education institutions to exchange knowledge and advances in the field of Olympic sport.

Kevin Felipe Caicedo Arias, Knowledge and Learning Manager of the Faculty of Sports Science and Physical Education, Soacha extension, represented the University at this meeting and highlighted the importance of understanding the national reality through this network, as well as the opportunity to obtain perspectives that enrich the research and educational work in Olympic values.

Caicedo Arias mentioned that this event strengthens ties between universities and allows for the dissemination of research findings. Furthermore, he highlighted the alignment between the philosophy of Olympism and the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT), which promotes education based on values and principles.

He added that the participation of the University of Cundinamarca in this meeting will facilitate the establishment of alliances with institutions of the International Network of Olympic Studies and the generation of research projects that will benefit both the faculty and the students.

Finally, the sports leader noted that the benefits of the event include the opportunity to establish strategic alliances, involve students in research projects, and promote the dissemination of Olympic values and principles in the educational sphere. The University of Cundinamarca is an active member of the International Network for Olympic Studies and contributes research and activities in this field.
