Expanding the academic offerings is the strategy

Jonnathan David Pasos Pazos is the primary representative and Luis Felipe Salamanca López is the alternate representative to the institution's Academic Council. Jonnathan received a total of 2,676 votes, with the Chía branch receiving the most at 867.

It is worth noting that the locations where the right to vote was exercised most were, in order, Chía, Facatativá and Fusagasugá.

But who is Jonathan David and what are his proposals?

Jonnathan is a 22-year-old who is in his eighth semester of Business Administration at the Chía extension, where he also does his internship in the coordination of the Systems Engineering program.

“We have two main proposals that focus on expanding the postgraduate academic offerings. We want them to be more varied at each campus of the University, as well as the possibility for students to specialize in their careers, since there is no possibility of doing so in many of them,” Jonnathan said.

Similarly, the expansion of undergraduate educational offerings is also expected to become a reality. “The idea is to think not only about those of us already at the university but also about those who are coming in; that's why it's necessary to have an attractive and functional educational offering for new students. For example, a program like Nursing, which currently only operates in Girardot, should be brought here,” Pasos added.

Finally, another of his goals is to continue, as he did during the campaign, visiting the headquarters, extensions and branches of the University in order to learn about the needs in a close and timely manner.

“I hope to live up to the expectations of those who elected me and to always be a good friend,” concluded the new student representative of UCundinamarca.
