These are all the public institutions that will have zero tuition fees

For the second half of 2021, Ministry of Education advertisement zero tuition for all students from socioeconomic levels 1, 2 and 3 of public Higher Education Institutions.

It should be clarified that this measure currently only applies to the second half of 2021, although the Government indicated that it will be repeated for the second half of 2022.

Similarly, the minister María Victoria Angulo He said that the aim is to make this a state policy that will be maintained indefinitely, although for this to happen it is still necessary to ensure the resources for this purpose on an uninterrupted basis, which must be done through mechanisms such as a bill.

“Hemos trabajado con las instituciones públicas del país, para que la matrícula cero sea una realidad.

Hemos suscrito acuerdos con las instituciones de educación superior de Caldas, Chocó, Antioquia y Bolívar, y continuaremos por todo el país”, afirmó la ministra Angulo.

It's important to remember that tuition-free education remains unchanged despite a bill seeking zero tuition failing in Congress. This is because the bill discussed was one submitted in late 2020, not the one announced by the government.
