Environmental education for life

The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences is holding the 1st Environmental Engineering Week from October 3rd to 5th, "applications of engineering and basic sciences in the solution of environmental problems" at the Girardot branch.

The event aims to raise awareness among the Udecina community about current Millennium Development Goals and foster a culture and sense of belonging to environmental values, care for the planet, and the sustainable development of our environment, region, and department within the educational community. Vanessa García, coordinator of the Environmental Engineering program, emphasized this point.

The academic event, led by the Environmental Engineering program, will be developing during the week the environmental olympiads, recycling marathon, presentation of papers and posters, tree planting on the university campus, open house at the experimental laboratory in reverse osmosis, solar oven, effects of acid rain, solar evaporator, simulation equipment for wastewater treatment among others.
