English Day in Faca: Imagination and creativity!

With the sharing of the trailers made by the students, the English Day was celebrated on May 8 at the Facatativá Extension, where the students strengthened their English skills.

A total of 140 students from the different academic programs of the Facatativá Extension participated in the English Day, in which the students shared the short films they made during the semester.

These activities aimed to create a space for sharing the best video trailers prepared by students about films or significant situations in order to promote the use of English as a communication tool for topics of interest and relevance in our Colombian society.

“The objective of English Day is to create a space for sharing the best videos prepared by students, in order to create an English-speaking environment in which they can produce their daily lives in an academic setting.”Martha Isabel Ramírez, English teacher and organizer of the event, highlighted this.”.

It is worth noting that the Institution is committed to a bilingual University through academic spaces in the English area, such as immersion programs, bilingual outings and guided tours, and singing competitions, among others.

“The contact we have with English throughout the activity helps us improve our listening comprehension and thus become involved in learning the language in a natural way,”, Isabel Gómez, Psychology student.

It is worth noting that an English Day is held every semester at UCundinamarca.
