Engineers share knowledge at the Agile Methodologies Meeting

Students and professors belonging to the Locxue research group, from the Faculty of Engineering, strengthened their skills in innovation, management and self-organization.

Members of the agile community in Fusagasugá and the Locxue research group from the Faculty of Engineering participated in the 3rd National Meeting on Agile Methodologies with the aim of strengthening their skills in innovation, management, and self-organization. Through insightful discussions, this group addressed topics related to agile and Lean thinking, agile culture, Kanban XP, Scrum, Management 3.0, Sociocracy 3.0, agility in education and beyond IT, engineering practices and industry experience reports, business agility, and more.

“As a community and as aspiring developers, we had the opportunity to participate as attendees at the event. We went to share, learn, and contribute to the Agile Colombia community so that we could later contribute value to the local community. We forged important bonds that will help us grow as an academic community and always contribute to any activity.”, The research group at the Faculty of Engineering stood out.

The Locxue seedbed is part of the INGENIUM SUTA research group of the Systems Engineering program and its lines of work are: software engineering and software development.

In the midst of this activity, the possibility was discussed for the Garden City host the next event that brings together agile practitioners: “The city of Fusagasugá was also proposed as the venue for the next Agile Colombia 2019 or 2020. It is expected that, for the next meeting, community members and young entrepreneurs will participate as co-organizers of the event and as facilitators in the various talks.”.

“The Locxue research group is related to the world of agile methodologies. It is important that we participate in these academic spaces to interact with the agile community and exchange life experiences, in order to generate added value to our community; expand our knowledge and experiences around agile methodologies so that we can grow professionally.”, indicated the group that makes up the Locxue seedbed.

The Agile Methodology event took place last August in the city of Santa Marta, at the facilities of the University of Magdalena, and was organized by the Agile Colombia community.
