Engineering Congress

The VI International Engineering Congress was held at the Fusagasugá venue on November 8th and 9th in the Emilio Sierra auditorium, with the participation of expert speakers from Spain, Peru, the Colombian Association of Engineering Faculties, the Institute of Industrial Systems Engineers, Universidad Central, Escuela de Ingeniería Julio Garavito, Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, Universidad Javeriana de Cali, among others.

This sixth edition of the event drew approximately 700 attendees, including students, faculty, graduates, and engineering professionals. Over two days, it featured 11 plenary sessions, 11 oral presentations, and 4 workshops on current engineering trends such as Big Data, educational robotics, renewable energy, cybersecurity, Six Sigma, and emerging perspectives in science, technology, research, and innovation.

Furthermore, in the auditorium's exhibition hall, students from the Faculty of Engineering displayed more than 15 posters and shared final reports on research projects.

These academic spaces foster the development of science, technology, and innovation. They also allow for critical and analytical reflection on the various current engineering contexts that require the support of this science, the sharing of knowledge, and the generation of proposals for change to solve problems, highlighted Wilson Joven, dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
