On May 24, the Faculty of Sports Science and Physical Education, together with the National Pedagogical University, held the Third Research Meeting. Its purpose was to create academic spaces for presenting research projects to the university community, thereby contributing to the growth, discussion, and constructive critique of knowledge regarding human movement and physical education.

The meeting was attended by research professors from the National Pedagogical University, including Professor José Orlando Pachón Moreno, who presented the paper: "From Play to the Ludic Dimension in the Conceptual Framework of Physical Education as an Academic Discipline." In addition, more than 10 posters were displayed, and final reports on research projects in biomechanics, biopsychosocial aspects, sports training, and other related topics were shared.

Research is a key pillar of the academic process, fostering critical thinking among students regarding the current disciplinary approach to physical activity, recreation, and sport. This environment facilitated the generation of knowledge networks and the sharing of research experiences with the National Pedagogical University to strengthen faculty projects, stated Pedro Nel Quintero Turriago, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science and Physical Education.
