US Embassy launches call for applications to study

In recent days, the U.S. Embassy announced the new dates for the STEM Tour 2026, an initiative coordinated by EducationUSA that provides information on accredited institutions, admission processes, and funding options for studying.

“Are you in Cali, Manizales, or Bogotá and want to study in the United States? We invite you to our STEM Tour 2026 fair.”, can be heard in the video that the entity released on its Facebook account.

According to what was revealed in the recording, people who are interested in training in areas such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics They will be able to learn about the program offerings of more than 20 universities.

The Embassy also noted in its publication that the initiative will be available in three cities across the country, so that Colombians can receive personalized advice on academic opportunities.

Dates and how to apply

The North American organization announced that the first stop of the EducationUSA STEM Tour 2026 will be in Cali on Monday, February 23, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Marriott Cali Hotel.

Then, it will be in Manizales on Wednesday the 25th of the same month, From 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the University of Caldas, specifically at the Rogelio Salmona University Cultural Center.

The final day will take place in Bogotá, Saturday, February 28, From 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at the Hotel Salvio Parque de la 93. It is important to note that the events are completely free and 100% in-person.

Although the event in each city will be open to the public, the organization emphasized that the focus is on students interested in undergraduate and graduate programs in areas such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The Embassy recommends speaking directly with the admissions representatives of each educational institution in the United States to resolve doubts about programs, costs, registration requirements and financial aid.

For a better experience, the organization recommends reviewing the list of the more than 20 universities that will be participating in the event. Furthermore, It is necessary for people to reserve their place through the platform.
