The Faculty of Administrative, Economic and Accounting Sciences through his Business Administration Program, Fusagasugá headquarters, and its Avanza Seedbed, invites students from UCundinamarca to apply to join this research group.
What is a research seedbed?
According to the Agreement 002 of March 2008 According to the document establishing the Research System at the University of Cundinamarca, Research Seedbeds are defined as: “those groups in which students, under the guidance of research professors, begin the process leading to the knowledge of the problems they are interested in investigating in their area.” And they are included within the modalities of Research Groups.
According to the Colombian Network of Research Seedbeds It is “a group of two or more people, linked to an Educational Institution and who express their intention to function as a seedbed, through a constitution act and the structuring of a development plan.”.

Business Administration students who join the Avanza research group will have the opportunity to delve into the research areas of organizational and regional development, organizational and regional studies, entrepreneurship and business development, and business historiography.
The Avanza research group is an opportunity to delve deeper into knowledge without the constraints of a classroom, a place where the aim is to instill in each young person the desire for research in support of collective development, where diverse opinions are valid, immersed in respect and the construction of values.
"It moves towards building a better country, starting from our regional context without neglecting globality," explained María Cristina Velásquez Ardila, Lead Teacher of the Avanza Research Seedbed.
It is worth noting that the Avanza seedbed emerged in 2013 and belongs to the Arado research group, has participated in different research meetings at the national and international level and has been selected three times among the best speakers at the RedColsi International Meeting of Research Seedbeds.
– Demonstrate a permanent commitment to learning and contributing your knowledge to provide a pleasant work environment.
Meet certain entry requirements, as research entails a degree of commitment and responsibility.
– Be affiliated with the Business Administration Program
– Have a weighted average equal to or greater than 3.8 and maintain it
– Present a clear, documented idea, which will be shared with the group and evaluated.
– Enter a two-month (2) trial period, during which time you will be evaluated by the parameters established by the AVANZA Research Seedbed.
Roles of the selected students
– Adopt a code of ethics
– Adopt a group study and work methodology
– Define a permanent work schedule and location
– To participate with voice and vote in the decisions of the seedbed
– Prepare a six-month work plan
– Respect intellectual property, copyright, internet and software, as required by Law 23 of 1982 and Law 44 of 1993.
That is, ''do not copy or plagiarize information belonging to other sources or authors.
– Cite and reference all bibliography, documentation and sources belonging to authors other than those of the Research Seedbed, in accordance with the standards established by ICONTEC or APA (American Psychological Association) or MLA (Modern Language Association) or others depending on the discipline.
– Prepare reports and minutes of the research group sessions or meetings in order to establish organizational processes and generate a written record for the internal and institutional database.
– To participate, as far as possible, in scientific and academic events such as congresses, seminars, symposia, conferences, forums, among other events related to the topic or lines of research in which the activity of the seedbed is framed.
– Take into account the comments, criticisms or recommendations of the lead teacher of the Avanza Research Seedbed.
– Collaborate and participate in all activities proposed by the Avanza Research Seedbed.
– Maintain permanent relations with the Research Directorate of the University of Cundinamarca so that this entity is aware of the actions being developed by the research group and can support them in their actions and strategies, as well as help them in internal or external projection and dissemination.
