Deivy Fredery Fonseca Camacho, Diana Karina López and Nazly Esperanza Díaz Herrera were (in that order) the first three places in the 'Fourth Observatory of Innovative Teachers' contest, organized last year by the School of Teacher Training (EFAD).
This award was given to them in recognition of their vocation, closeness to the students and curiosity they have shown regarding the digital tools and active methodologies of the University.
It is worth mentioning that these three teachers were chosen by an internal jury of EFAD, after being proposed by the students and administrative staff themselves, who saw in them qualities such as community work and innovation in terms of proposing and implementing totally different strategies that involve their students.
“During the competition, approximately 120 applications were systematized in the Soacha extension. Taking into account this high number, it was decided to publicly recognize the three teachers in the extension,” mentioned Pilar Ochoa, pedagogical manager of EFAD.
The Fourth Observatory of Innovative Teachers was also an opportunity to recognize the teachers, or knowledge managers, who, in the context of the pandemic and the confinement measures, continued to carry out their work and conduct their classes with creativity and with the support of ICT.
“When we refer to knowledge managers, we are talking about teachers who, based on their educational, pedagogical and innovative practices, promoted citizenship, research, innovation and interaction in a second language, all elements that are within the framework of MEDIT and the learning processes in students,” says Ochoa.
Finally, during the event, Andrés Guayacundo, a professor of Sports Science, was also awarded as the winner of the art, culture and letters contest held by the multidimensional learning field.
