Education for Peace

On August 28th, the Municipal Educational Forum "Education for Peace: Schools and Territories" was held in the Emilio Sierra Baquero auditorium, organized in partnership between the University of Cundinamarca, the Mayor's Office of Fusagasugá, and the Municipal Education Secretariat.

The event was attended by six educational institutions from the municipality and more than 80 students from UCundinamarca. Throughout the day, two thematic areas were presented: “Curricula for Peace Education in Schools” and “Community Outreach as a Setting for Peace Education,” led by teachers and coordinators from the different institutions.

The Forum culminated with a performance by the Colombian band “Doctor Krápula”, who left a clear message: One should be happy while fulfilling their dreams.

UCundinamarca supports these types of initiatives that strengthen the education of the 21st Century Generation.
