Do you have or want a loan with ICETEX?

Icetex is one of the alternatives that young Colombians have to access higher education, which is why UCundinamarca already has a plan for the renewal and application of educational loans.

Students requiring a renewal must update their information on the Icetex website and renew their scholarship with the university to continue their studies. They should also keep the following in mind:

• If you change from an Identity Card to a National Identity Card, you must first update this information by sending a digitized copy of both documents enlarged to 150% through the Icetex SAC Virtual Service System.
• They must be up to date with their insurance premium and/or installments to Icetex or with any debt to the university.

The deadline for renewing tuition payment is January 13, 2022, and the deadline for renewing maintenance credit is March 31, 2022.

To renew with UCundinamarca, you must submit:

• Data Update Form issued by Icetex, duly signed
• Sheet of Notes
• You can send the other scanned documents in PDF format to the email address [email protected] .

For undergraduate or postgraduate students who wish to apply for new Icetex loans for the first semester of 2022, in order to apply it to their tuition payment, they must have the loan approved and legalized according to the Entity's legalization manual.

• Once you upload the documents to the document platform and they are in the status ICETEX verified, Your loan will be submitted for evaluation.
• Two committees will be held each week and the results will be published on Wednesdays and Fridays of each week.

Requirements

• To access the loan with a living allowance and subsidized interest rate, you must be registered in version IV of the Sisbén system in the following classification groups: A, B, up to C7.

• *Subsidized rate and maintenance subsidy subject to budget availability

Each strategic alliance establishes specific requirements; however, in general terms, we request:

• Being Colombian.
• If you have had or currently have a loan with ICETEX, you must have paid at least 50% of the debt, be up to date with payments, and continue to amortize the obligation according to the established payment plan.
• Have a co-debtor accepted by ICETEX who will guarantee and sign with you the documents (Letter of Instructions and Promissory Note) that support the educational loan.
• If you are a member of an indigenous population, you must present original certification from the council to which you belong and have a score on the Saber 11 tests equal to or greater than 200.
• If you are entering the first semester, you must have taken the Saber 11 tests from 2012 onwards and obtained a score equal to or greater than 210.
• If you enter the second semester you must prove that you have taken the Saber 11 tests from 2012 onwards and obtained a score equal to or greater than 210, or prove an average grade equal to or greater than 3.4 in the last period taken.
• If you are entering from the third semester onwards, you must have an average equal to or greater than 3.4 in the last period taken or accumulated.

Requirements for a joint debtor

If you are a natural person:

• To have a permanent address in Colombia.
• To have the legal capacity to enter into obligations.
• Not to be in arrears with ICETEX. Nor to be jointly liable for more than two beneficiaries to ICETEX.
• Must not be older than 65 years of age at the time of formalizing the loan. Must demonstrate income sufficient to guarantee the debt.
• If you are a pensioner, you must demonstrate income other than your pension.
• Have a favorable financial and credit history.
• Not to be reported with a negative rating in any financial risk center.
• Obtain a qualification score higher than the minimum established in the study model adopted by ICETEX.
• Any others that ICETEX considers and specifies in the call's regulations.

If the information you provide virtually does not match the documents you are attaching, the Higher Education Institution will proceed to request the cancellation of your loan.

The Higher Education Institution, together with ICETEX, may conduct home visits in order to verify the socioeconomic situation and stratification of the applicant.

ICETEX will not return the documents that support the registration, nor that of the joint debtor; therefore, we recommend that you attach legible photocopies of these.

If you are applying for an undergraduate or graduate loan for the university to formalize on the Icetex platform, you must physically deliver the guarantees to the Fusagasugá branch at Diagonal 18 # 20-29 so that the university can apply said loan to your tuition. This must be done during the payment period from January 1st to 14th, 2021.
