The University of Cundinamarca has launched a new information and entertainment initiative to keep its entire community up-to-date on the latest interesting facts, events, news, culture, and other topics of general interest.
The Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Political Science led the project, which was presented to the public through the institutional channels of UCundinamarca.
The teacher, Juan Carlos Torrente Cortés, was directing the project that was built in the last four months and in which directors, teachers and students are part.
The magazine is accessible to everyone as it is an audiovisual format published on the University of Cundinamarca's YouTube channel, making it an alternative not only for the university community but also for anyone interested in the institution's extensive content.
“The 21st Century Generation Magazine, Communicating Life, became the first of many to come. It is an information space provided by the Faculty, led by our professors from extensions, campuses, and branches, headed by the director, Professor Juan Carlos Torrente Cortés, who skillfully and successfully led this process thanks to his experience. The content was developed by the students themselves and by our professors in the area using cell phones, with the participation of the communications office in editing,” stated Sonia Smith Niño Suárez, Coordinator of the Transversal Area of Humanities.
The magazine's broadcasts are expected to resume soon when academic activities restart next year.
“Starting with this initial launch, episodes will be released periodically, and activities will resume in February 2021 with content for the entire university community. It's a space created with them and for them; we've been developing this project for four months, creating all the necessary elements for its production, layout, and editing,” explained Dr. Sonia Smith Niño Suárez.
