Director of the Girardot branch launched a book

It's a 134-page book filled with lessons and reflections, launched on September 20th. “I started writing without ever imagining that it would one day become a book, and here it is. It's an honor to present this collection, which will undoubtedly help many, and that's my main goal: to share a bit of my life experience with others, so that those who read it will be inspired,” said Dr. Méndez.

The official also spoke about how important it was for him to have the participation of Eliana and Valentina, his two daughters, in the book, who are his special motivation for doing things.

“Each of them wrote a text. Valentina, the youngest, created a story based on one I told her, showcasing her great creativity and inspiration. In the narrative, her sister Eliana is Pure Air, she is Green Tree, and she describes me as Environmental Juanito.”.

The idea of publishing his first book arose during a conversation with Jorge Duque, a close friend who suggested that the material he had gathered from his experiences could be turned into a book. Duque then guided him, helped him along the way, and ultimately, he made it happen.

Another contributing factor was the creation of the UCundinamarca Press, where he decided to publish this book. “Undoubtedly, many people have contributed to making this possible, and it fills me with joy to be able to share my life with others.”.

Dr. Juan Carlos Méndez Forero plants trees with the program he started a few years ago in the Girardot branch; he plants feelings, solidarity, and emotions. This is why he chose this title for his book.

“There are many experiences, from when I started working as a security guard at Cafam Melgar and became head of personnel. At UCundinamarca I started as a teacher and now I am the director of the Girardot branch; without a doubt, it is a story of overcoming adversity.”.

The author of "Sowing Emotions" states that this book is a reflection of his life. He continues to pursue his writing and plans to publish more books with the goal of leaving a greater mark on the world.
