Dance for life!

The dance marathon took place with the participation of approximately 600 people, including members of the university community and residents of Fusagasugá., “Strengthen your body and uplift your spirit”.

The day of physical and recreational activity, directed and organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Political Science, had the purpose of improving the quality of life, reducing stress levels, renewing motor and mental capacity, as well as optimizing the physical condition of the participants.

The event took place in the CAD coliseum to the rhythm of merengue, salsa, reggaeton and rumba, with the participation of the university community from the academic programs of business administration, public accounting, agronomy, systems engineering, electronic engineering, social sciences, bachelor's degree in basic education with emphasis on physical education, recreation and sports, zootechnics, cartography, and population of the city of Fusagasugá.

“The dance marathon is a space It is conducive to fostering healthy lifestyles and making the most of free time for each member of the UCundinamarca educational community. Dance promotes well-being., through the practice of physical activity and play, generating fun among the participants.”, said Sonia Smith Niño Suarez, coordinator of the humanities area of the faculty.

Niño Suarez highlighted that the activity was also carried out at the Girardot branch in coordination with the teachers who lead the sports and humanities programs. It is expected that the program will be extended to the Ubaté branch and the Facatativá extension during the first academic period of 2020.
