The Hall of Mirrors at the University of Cundinamarca was once again a meeting point for students of the LBachelor's degree in Education Basic with emphasis on Physical education, Recreation and Sports and the Canadian company DeviationDance, co-directed by Lina María Jiménez and Micaiah Ganz. This time, the working session focused on how to work with high-risk communities.
With the words "The dream is to know that you are the future of many people," co-director Lina Jiménez motivated the students to use dance, movement, and meditation as catharsis to help in processes of growth and overcoming for populations living in critical situations.
This is the fifth year that Canadian teachers have come to the Institution to interact with students and teachers within their social program Healing through dance (Healing through dance).
The University of Cundinamarca welcomes the presence of this North American company, as this interaction will provide future graduates with new tools for their professional and social lives.
