Human rights: part of professional training?

“With the development of this diploma program, we intend to provide a space to conceptualize and understand, from a technological perspective, the potential of ICTs within healthcare, encompassing fields as extensive as telecommunications, telematics, and other initiatives that will lead to the implementation of digital medical records and the consolidation of ICT platforms that contribute to the universalization of and access to health services.”, explained Lady Carolina Díaz Jurado, leader of the diploma program and professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
The University of Cundinamarca led the training project on the Application of ICT Strategies as Support in Health Care, aimed at professionals from the Samaritana University Hospital.
The diploma program, certified by our institution, began in April and ended in May of this year, with a duration of 120 hours. This program enabled HUS professionals to acquire knowledge in areas such as: Diagnostic assessment of computer skills, Introduction to information technologies applied to health, Promotion of a culture of self-care in health using ICTs, Planning and design of virtual learning environments (VLEs), Social networks as a strategy for health promotion and prevention, scaffolding tools (mind maps and concept maps), Wix, online presentations, Implementation of synchronous and asynchronous communication modules (chats and forums), among others.
