UCundinamarca receives award

In commemoration of the 426th anniversary of the founding of the municipality of Ubaté, the University of Cundinamarca was awarded the "Faith in the Cause" medal for its contribution to the restoration of peace, order and democracy.

The unique decoration in its category was presented by the General Commander of the Military Forces, Nicacio de Jesús Martínez Espinel, to the administrative director of the Ubaté Section, Miguel Alejandro Flechas Montaño.

The medal highlights academic excellence, the integration of democratic values embodied in these 50 years of continuous improvement, and excellence in the provision of education services as a fundamental axis that prioritizes learning and knowledge.

“The history of the University of Cundinamarca, in its 50 years, is built upon the indelible mark left by those who have been part of it. We nourish its history with the work, merit, ability, and above all, the dignity and honesty of those who provide leadership in the fields of science, scientific research, and teaching. The “Faith in the Cause” medal is a symbol that academically consecrates our institution, under the dream of making it the principal instrument for development and for changing the economic and social model in the Province of Ubaté.”, The director of the branch, Miguel Alejandro Flechas Montaño, pointed this out.
