UCundinamarca creates economic incentives for students and professors

The Higher Council announces to the entire educational and academic community the approval of three agreements that benefit the university community of the institution, both undergraduate and postgraduate, and the teaching staff.

AGREEMENT No. 000008

The agreement announced by the Higher Council approves the financial recognition for undergraduate and master's students who participate in external research projects that allow the consolidation of science, technology and innovation.

The selection of students will be based on academic merit and they will be elevated to the category of research assistant according to the duration of the specific project approved in the external calls, to develop activities related to science, technology and innovation, with a dedication of recognized hours between five and 25 hours per week.

The financial resources for the economic incentives of this agreement No. 000008 will be charged to the projects approved in the respective external calls and these resources will be managed through the Science, Technology and Innovation Fund of the University of Cundinamarca.

AGREEMENT No. 000009

The agreement establishes economic incentives for professors with special ties at UCundinamarca who participate in external Science, Technology and Innovation projects, duly endorsed by the Institution.

Special link professors may receive economic incentives up to 10 current monthly legal minimum wages according to the estimated values for the celebration of the contracts, orders or agreements.

Research projects must be the result of agreements, orders or contracts originating from direct contracting, merit competition or national and international tenders and will be governed by the current and applicable regulations.

Intellectual property for the products is governed by Agreement 04 of April 26, 2018, Intellectual Property Statute of the University of Cundinamarca.

The recognition will be made through a resolution from the academic vice-rector's office, listing the teacher's name, identity number, project name, number of hours assigned, and the total amount of economic recognition, along with the budget registration.

AGREEMENT No. 000010

The University, through the Superior Council, updates the financial rights for tuition fees for the different advanced courses as a degree option for the specializations offered at the Institution, which correspond to three credits.

The parameter for setting the financial rights is established by the value of an academic credit of specialization in relation to a percentage of the monthly legal minimum wage of 0.39 SMLMV. Each year the value of the financial right is automatically updated in line with the increase in the salary.

The advanced courses will have three academic credits and will be settled under the certification of the Postgraduate Directorate.
