UCundinamarca champion and runner-up in the Girardot University Olympics

Students from Udecino won three gold medals and one silver medal at the university games in the City of Acacias.

Students from our institution achieved top positions in the University Olympics – Girardot 2018 by becoming champion in men's futsal, champion in soccer, champion in women's basketball, and runner-up in mixed volleyball.

“University sports are extremely important; in Girardot, until now, we didn't have competitions that allowed us to test and evaluate the level of the different teams. We performed excellently and won in several disciplines, bringing honor to our University and excelling athletically in the games.”, Luisa Díaz, a basketball player for the University of Cundinamarca team, declared.

These sporting events included the participation of athletes from UCundinamarca and other higher education institutions such as the Piloto University of Colombia, the Minuto de Dios University Corporation, the National Open and Distance University (UNAD), the National Learning Service (SENA) and the School of Arts and Letters.

The university sporting event was made possible thanks to the management and organization of the Mayor's Office of Girardot and the support of the academic community of the different participating universities and institutions, who showcased their talent in team sports disciplines such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, futsal and table tennis.
