The University of Cundinamarca – UDEC may, for a term of seven (7) years, begin the stage of filing applications for qualified registration for Chía (Cundinamarca).

Congratulations to the Chía Extension and its university community for their commitment to ensuring academic quality, as well as to all the institutional departments participating in the process implemented by the Directorate of Self-Evaluation and Accreditation to achieve this important institutional quality result. We continue to move forward.

Through communication 2021-EE-230082 of June 2, 2021 The following is stated in the letter addressed by the Vice Minister of Higher Education, Dr. José Maximiliano Gómez Torres, to the Rector of the University of Cundinamarca, Dr. Adriano Muñoz Barrera:

Law 30 of 1992 establishes as the objective of higher education and its institutions, to provide the community with a quality service referring to academic results, the means and processes employed, the institutional infrastructure, the qualitative and quantitative dimensions of the same and the conditions in which each institution develops.

For their part, Law 1188 of 2008 and Decree 1075 of 2015 establish that institutions must comply with the following institutional quality conditions: mechanisms for the selection and evaluation of students and professors, administrative and academic structure, culture of self-evaluation, graduate program, welfare model, and sufficient resources to guarantee the fulfillment of goals.

In accordance with the provisions of Article 2.5.3.2.8.1.6 of Decree 1075 of 2015, this office has validated the opinion issued by the Institutional Procedures Evaluation Chamber of the National Intersectoral Commission for Quality Assurance in Higher Education – CONACES, within the pre-filing stage of the application for qualified registration submitted by the The University of Cundinamarca – UDEC for Chía (Cundinamarca) is hereby informed that the institution received a favorable evaluation for its compliance with institutional quality standards. Therefore, the FAVORABLE EVALUATION is being communicated. in compliance with the institutional quality conditions within case 1089 presented by the University of Cundinamarca – UDEC for Chía (Cundinamarca).
