Human rights: part of professional training?

During May 16 and 17, students from the Public Accounting program of UCundinamarca and students from the ESAP University of the Fusagasugá Campus, the II Meeting of Young Researchers in Science and Peace Scenarios took place, which developed thematic axes in administration and organizations, business entrepreneurship, human development and economic organizations, competitiveness and financial management from the social and environmental perspective according to the emerging economies and the discipline of Public Accounting.
“The development of innovative ideas and the search for alternatives to solve problems through research projects was one of the reflections presented and is also a guideline of our PEI at UCundinamarca, established in the strategic front of Science, Technology and Innovation,” stated Olga Liliana Gutiérrez, coordinator of the Public Accounting program in Fusagasugá.
The event served as a platform for establishing interactive connections between students from both universities. The 30 presentations delivered at the event were the product of activities in which students acted as auxiliary research groups, focusing on topics of socio-economic impact in tourism, technological monitoring and competitive intelligence, productivity, and business growth related to the translocal reality in the country and the region, coordinator Gutiérrez pointed out.
The posters summarized the conclusions of national, local and regional research projects, such as the analysis of the Reficar contract, socioeconomic characterization of the marble subsector of the Sumapaz province, municipality of Fusagasugá, the orange economy as a development alternative in the post-agreement, the impact project of the implementation of the ACUN accounting consultancy at UCundinamarca, among others.
It is worth noting that the program has been establishing networks at the territorial level, from the faculty, with the universities UNAD, UNIMINUTO, and with the Piloto University of Colombia in the province of Alto Magdalena in order to coordinate research projects that allow the analysis of the problems and solutions of the region.
The discussion featured the special participation of Industrial Engineer John Peña Carreño from the Universidad Libre and Professor and philosopher Rodrigo Velázquez Giraldo from the Universidad Nacional and Libre, the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative, Economic and Accounting Sciences Félix Gregorio Rojas, Brian Esteban Cifuentes, a graduate in Social Sciences from UCundinamarca, Olga Liliana Gutiérrez, coordinator of the Public Accounting program, Félix David Romero, professor of the program, and student Lina Fernanda Pabón.
