Cognitive training software improves skills in schoolchildren

A research project by psychology students from Facatativá contributes to the development of skills in schoolchildren in the municipality.

The NEURPSICDEC Research Group of the psychology program at the UCundinamarca Facatativá Extension has been working since 2013 on projects such as the application of cognitive training software, which has been applied to students from different schools in the municipality, yielding relevant results, since the young people acquire skills for problem solving.

“Students who were tested using the cognitive training software showed improvements in their trained skills, achieving higher scores compared to the scores on the exams administered before the software was used. Furthermore, they demonstrated greater speed in solving the exercises on the mental training web application,” stated the students from the NEURPSICDEC research group., Andrea Hernandez and Mildreth Ramirez.

It is worth noting that the results of the research for this project were shared by students Andrea and Mildreth during the First National Congress of Seedbeds Research and Entrepreneurship CONASIE – 2019 which took place at the University of Cordoba.

It was a pleasant experience with very positive feedback, the students noted, adding that they will begin an investigation in Mnemonics in order to continue contributing to the development of psychology in the country.
