Daniela Torres, Jorge Leonardo Murcia, Nidia Carrión, Milena Molina, and Paula Redondo, students in the Business Administration program, received the award for “Best Co-Creation Story” at the Third Inter-University Meeting of the Regional Innovation Cluster. This project was developed through a collaboration between the company Distancia Cero and the Project Formulation course, led by Professor Sandra Milena Melo Perdomo.
The winning challenge, “Improving the association for the Asoprocampo association” in the municipality of Carmen de Carupa, was led by the association's president, Álvaro Castro, who proposed as a challenge to solve the problems they have in the association to work as a team and achieve results from the associative model.
“Álvaro Castro expressed to the students his interest in including in the work the measurement of the productive capacities of each of the associates, since when thinking about looking for a project that benefits all the producers, it is unknown how much quinoa they are producing and in what varieties, which would make it difficult to acquire large commercial commitments,”, explained the lead teacher Sandra Milena Melo.
This winning challenge for “Best Co-Creation Story” provided the association with a brochure on basic topics of association as an illustrative and educational tool, as well as an App, which investigates and records the information of each of the associates, as well as the delivery of permanent statistics that benefit 14 active associates and their families who are dedicated to the cultivation of quinoa in Carmen de Carupa.
Furthermore, the University in the Innovation Cluster presented five challenges: Challenge to improve association - Asoprocampo, Challenge new line of business saponin - Asoprocampo, Challenge to improve association - Asoganasuta, Challenge to improve association - Guachetá Beekeepers Association and Challenge El Tibar Farm of the University of Cundinamarca.
The jury was made up of five mentors, professionals from various areas, students from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano, Sergio Arboleda, Los Andes, and UCundinamarca universities, who accompanied and advised the day.
