The University of Cundinamarca successfully completed the official visit of academic peers from the National Accreditation Council (CNA), a crucial step in the High-Quality Institutional Accreditation process at its Fusagasugá campus. Dr. Álvaro Campo Cabal, coordinator of the evaluation team, highlighted the quality of the meeting: “This has been an extraordinary opportunity to review the elements of the self-evaluation report and to engage in a fluid and reflective exchange with the entire university community.”.
For three intense days, from October 30 to November 1, the academic peers held meetings with administrators, Knowledge and Learning Managers, students, graduates, and strategic partners of the institution. “We are leaving very satisfied. We will report to the CNA on our experience. The most noteworthy aspect is the ownership, commitment, and motivation we observed throughout the entire educational community,” stated Campo Cabal.
The evaluators highlighted the students' testimonials, in which they expressed their gratitude for the opportunities the university provides. "The young people were very vocal in pointing out the skills of their administrators and the possibilities for national and international interaction through agreements, exchange programs, and research groups," explained the coordinator.
Dr. Adriano Muñoz Barrera, the rector, reaffirmed the institutional commitment: “We continue working to strengthen higher education in Cundinamarca and in the country, so that young people can achieve their goal of becoming professionals and we can move forward in the national transformation.”.
With 18 academic programs under evaluation, the University of Cundinamarca hopes to solidify its high-quality accreditation. “Our work is not about filling out forms, but about transforming lives,” the rector concluded to his team.
In this way, the University of Cundinamarca continues to consolidate its academic leadership and its commitment to excellent public education.
