Closing ceremony for social outreach courses at the Ubaté branch

The Public Accounting program, seeking to reach and contribute to non-formal education for vulnerable populations, develops activities through University interaction that promotes the institution's approach to the general population and the real sector as a guiding principle in favor of contributing to training.

Last Thursday, June 1, 2017, in the auditorium of the Sectional, the graduation closing ceremony of the university interaction courses developed through the Project “Transfer and Dissemination of Knowledge generated by the program through University Interaction based on social outreach and continuing education activities” where 2 courses in basic accounting and 1 course in intermediate accounting were offered and completed in the municipality of Ubaté and in the municipality of Tausa 2 courses in basic accounting and 1 course in intermediate accounting were developed for a total of 6 courses offered and 100 female heads of household served and trained belonging to vulnerable populations of the municipalities of the province of the Ubaté valley.

The event was attended by the Mayor of the Municipality of Tausa, Jaime Alexander Rodríguez Ballén, and the Social Manager of the municipality; also present were the Social Manager of the Municipality of Fúquene, Marcela Páez, and Audry Forero representing the Secretariat of Health and Social Development of the Municipality of Ubaté; likewise, the director of the Ubaté Branch, Miguel Alejandro Flechas Montaño, and Ricardo Andrés Rodríguez, director of the Public Accounting program at the Branch.

UCundinamarca thanks the officials of the different mayoral offices for supporting the social projection activities of the program: the mayor of Ubaté, Édgar Jairo Márquez Carrillo, the director of Health and Social Development of Ubaté, Nohora Rojas, the director of Social Action of Ubaté, Martha Carrillo, the Secretary of Health and Social Development of the Municipality of Tausa, Mary Patricia Naranjo, the General and Government Secretary of Tausa, Claudia Yaneth Morante and the Mayor of Simijaca, Germán Leonidas Rodríguez Albornoz.

Also noteworthy is the voluntary participation in the development of the project for the First Academic Period of 2017 as tutors in Accounting, Deisy Castiblanco, Natalia Nieto, Yeidi Pachón, Darwin Aguilar, Eder Guzmán and Flor Alarcón, who for the first time are certified by the Directorate of University Interaction headed by its director Omar Muñoz Dimaté; the project was led by the professor of the Public Accounting program Daniel Arévalo, whose work of more than three years at the head of the project was recognized during the ceremony.
