The lecture featured the participation of permanent researcher Andrés Gerardo Martínez Álvarez, a cultural mediator teacher and finalist of the 2018 National Educational Forum with his project “Wednesday's peace“, in the development of peace strategies or actions that are accessible to children, adults, and the elderly.
Andrés Gerardo is a 25-year-old, a graduate of a teacher training college in the department of Tolima, and a restless consultant on peace issues who highlighted its importance in human beings in all its dimensions.

Finally, in the development of the lecture, Dr. Carlos Arturo Rodríguez Bejarano, Master in Planning and Administration of Regional Development, addressed the topic "Poetic Chronology of Girardot," and Professor David Soler Lemus addressed the topic "Socratic Methods," focusing on pedagogy, politics and philosophy, the discovery of the child as the foundation for knowledge of the human being, and the teaching-learning process.
Professor Soler emphasized the importance of the course: “This academic space is a forum for the exchange of ideas, allowing participants to express themselves and understand the reflections of their interlocutors, build their own knowledge, develop critical judgments, and approach the truth. This is the urgent need for Colombians to construct knowledge democratically.”.
The event took place on Friday, June 21st in the branch library with the attendance of teachers, students, administrative staff and the academic community in general.
