On July 25th, a tribute to the public servants of the University of Cundinamarca was held in the Emilio Sierra Baquero Auditorium (Fusagasugá). The event was organized by the Human Resources Department.
The University of Cundinamarca, a 21st-century, public, diverse, translocal, autonomous, and democratic social organization of knowledge, focused on life and centered on the student, and in compliance with Decree 2865 of 2013 and Decree 1083 of 2015 regulating the Public Service sector, celebrated Public Servant Day, honoring the Institution's employees for their commitment, dedication to the institutional mission, and good practices for integral, efficient, and transparent management.
“The status of a public servant is legal; however, at the University of Cundinamarca, before that status, there are the people who have made the Institution great and contribute all their love, commitment, and work to it,” said the rector of the University of Cundinamarca, Adriano Muñoz Barrea.
During the ceremony, recognition was given to the administrative staff, who were selected by the directors of the branches and extensions, under the criteria of evaluation of outstanding performance, seniority and impact that the official has in his work space, in addition to the contribution with the master's plan, strategic plan and action plans.
The recognition of university administrators was based on their contributions to the fulfillment of the previous year's institutional action plan. On this occasion, the work of the professionals who make up the Legal Department and the Admissions and Registration Office—processes that are part of the General Secretariat—was acknowledged.
