The educational community of the Facatativá Extension participated in English Day with the theme “English Ambassadors” in relation to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The English Day was celebrated on November 2nd, 2017 in Facatativá. It began in the auditorium of the University of Cundinamarca. English professors invited several students from the Manablanca Municipal Educational Institution from Facatativá, to be active participants in the dynamics proposed by students and professors from the university, where each one prepared an activity of interest, and the students' abilities in the language were demonstrated.

On Friday, September 8, 2017, a call for applications was held for Psychology students to join research groups and projects. This event was attended by students from the first through ninth semesters and faculty members Jenny Johana Cabrejo Rodríguez, Adrián David Galindo Ubaque, Jhon Jairo Morales López, and Rafael Leonardo Cortes Lugo. Students Laura Jimena Rodríguez Pinto and Luisa Fernanda Chavarro Pinzón also presented their respective research groups.

On July 31st, the Systems and Technology Department held the "Information Asset Inventory" workshop at the Facatativá Extension, aimed at administrative staff.
