Call for applications for academics

What is Hands for Peace – a component for professionals and academics?

Hands to Peace is an initiative of the High Council for Post-Conflict and the United Nations Development Programme UNDP, aimed at promoting cooperation between territories, entities and universities to strengthen territorial capacities for peacebuilding, development and local governance in post-conflict municipalities.

Hands for Peace is a program that provides the opportunity for professionals and academics who wish to put their knowledge and work at the service of peacebuilding and development in Colombia. It is also an opportunity for municipalities affected by the armed conflict and, in general, it is a time to generate bonds between entities, universities and territories, through coexistence and joint work in pursuit of the same purpose: a Colombia at Peace.

Peace is built from the local level and requires the will and participation of everyone, innovative ideas, and diverse perspectives that can engage in dialogue and adapt to the specific characteristics of each region. This Program is a response to the need and desire of Colombians to contribute more to this new chapter in our nation's history.
