The University of Cundinamarca, Facatativá campus, together with the Office of University Social Interaction (ISU) and the Public Accounting Program, has launched a series of activities in collaboration with the business sector in the Western Savannah region. These include courses, seminars, and training sessions aimed at entrepreneurs, business owners, and the academic community.
Francini Berrio Lema, Knowledge and Learning Manager for the Public Accounting program in Facatativá, explained that a course for entrepreneurs has been developed in conjunction with the Facatativá Mayor's Office's Secretariat of Economic Development and the University's Public Accounting program. The course is completely free. Its objective is to raise awareness among entrepreneurs about the importance of organization in areas such as business management, tax, accounting, and financial responsibility.
“The purpose of these workshops is to provide information that motivates interested people to apply methods and procedures in the development of successful entrepreneurial proposals,” the teacher stated.
He added that the Tax Support Centers (NAF) are led by knowledge managers Jorge Humberto Laverde, Iván Garzón, and Erika Morales. Their objective is to allow students to engage in tax practice by providing advice to business owners. Furthermore, the NAF connects with University Social Interaction through these activities, facilitating our students' interaction with tax practice by offering advice to business owners in collaboration with the DIAN (Colombian Tax and Customs Authority).
The activity is aimed at all those people with an entrepreneurial vision and mindset, including small business owners, employees, students and self-employed workers, with the purpose of strengthening and consolidating business ideas and making their entrepreneurial projects a reality.
It is worth highlighting that the academic sessions include the SIIGO program, an accounting platform or software to encourage entrepreneurs to organize their accounting and financial management.
