The visit of the Academic Peers representing the Ministry of National Education to our institution is in accordance with the quality objectives set out in the University's Strategic Plan 2016-2026 “Designing the University we want” and the Rector's Plan 2015-2019 “UCundinamarca Generation 21st Century”, within the framework of fulfilling the institutional mission and vision and the historical development of the University, the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT).
The visit agenda was carried out on March 7, 8 and 9, 2019 and was developed in accordance with the specifications of the Ministry of National Education, for the verification of quality conditions in the renewal of the qualified registration and curricular re-signification, of the Business Administration program, offered at the Fusagasugá headquarters.
The senior management, headed by Rector Adriano Muñoz Barrera, Vice-Rector, Deans and other directors, presented to the academic peers the institutional context, its progress and main achievements and strategic directions; a description of the milestones that underlie the evolution of the Institution in relation to the execution of the Institutional Development Plan.
The quality conditions of the Business Administration program, attached to the Faculty of Administrative, Economic and Accounting Sciences, presented the theoretical and epistemological foundation, applicant profile, professional and occupational profile, curriculum plan in which the commitments of the Transmodern Digital Educational Model, declared by the Institution, the academic credit system, the transition plan were redesigned; likewise, emphasis was placed on the curricular re-signification process developed by the program, leaving the proposed study plan at 158 academic credits.
The Research Office presented its main achievements in academic productivity, highlighting the work of its professors, research lines, groups, research incubators, and ongoing projects. Similarly, the University Outreach Office showcased the impact and results achieved with the academic community and surrounding social environment during the period of accreditation for the Business Administration program.
The Academic Development unit, the area of training and learning, is a mission function of the University, evidenced in the professor's statute, and the professorial development carried out through the School of Teacher Training and Learning.
The other academic units: Self-Evaluation and Institutional Accreditation, Admissions and Registration, University Welfare, Internationalization, Virtual and Distance Education, Human Talent, Graduates, students, teachers, among other departments presented the main achievements to the Academic Peers.
Furthermore, the academic peers toured the different academic spaces that the program has, such as classrooms, a library with specialized support resources and an updated bibliographic and cybergraphic collection, study areas, and university campuses made up of sports, recreational, study, and administrative areas, among others.
