Bike rentals are on wheels in Facatativá
Since last April, the loan of 30 bicycles began at the Facatativá extension, where not only is this means of transport promoted for the care of the environment, but visits to the El Vergel Agro-environmental Unit, located about 10 kilometers from the Extension, are also encouraged.
Bicycles are available for loan daily, during all three shifts: morning, afternoon, and evening. Those interested only need to present their student ID or national identity card to access this means of transportation on loan.
“This is an institutional challenge born with the main purpose of being environmentally friendly. This work is being carried out in coordination between the Environmental Management System and the Administrative Directorate of the Extension,” stated Dr. Carlos Fernando Gómez, director of the Facatativá extension.
“We invite the university community to take care of these elements and to be good road users,” Gómez concluded.
