The University of Cundinamarca, aware of the importance of the university library in academic training, conceived as an informal learning space where the student finds all the tools that he will use throughout his university life, delivered a large donation to strengthen the Soacha Extension.
The Sports Science and Physical Education Program at the Soacha Extension, with the support and leadership of the Extension Director, Fabio Julio Gil Sanabria, acquired 430 books and 159 CDs containing audiovisual reference materials for the benefit of all students in this academic program. This acquisition will provide the Soacha Extension with a comprehensive, specialized, and up-to-date collection.
Fernando Ardila Patiño, director of the program, affirmed“We have acquired more than 430 titles, disciplinary and relevant to sports science. Recent editions in different disciplines. We invite students and teachers to consult them and access this fresh knowledge, which allows them to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.”.
Currently, students have access from the library not only to the basic bibliography recommended by professors, but also to printed and electronic journals, audiovisual and multimedia materials, dictionaries, encyclopedias and other reference works in different formats and online; therefore, it is essential that students make use of all these tools that complement their academic training.
