We are moving towards High Quality accreditation

By: Alejandro García Suárez – Advisory Office of Communications

The initial conditions assessment visit simulation was successfully carried out on April 19th for the High Quality accreditation of the Systems and Computing Engineering programs in Fusagasugá, Chía and Facatativá; Industrial Engineering in Soacha and Chía; Nursing in Girardot and Professional in Sports Sciences at the University of Cundinamarca.

“We welcomed former members of the National Accreditation Council and renowned academic peers, who provided feedback on our university's academic programs, technological infrastructure, and social interaction. Their guidance focuses on strengthening the positive aspects of each program and closing quality gaps,” explained Dr. Víctor Hugo Londoño Aguirre, Academic Vice-Rector of the institution.

During the day, curricular, research, social interaction, technological and support infrastructure topics were discussed, with the aim of improving the High Quality accreditation process.

For his part, Dr. José William Cornejo Ochoa, former advisor to the National Accreditation Council, highlighted the improvements observed in faculty structuring, curricular adjustments, and student research training. Meanwhile, Jorge Aurelio Herrera Cuartas, professor at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University and member of the National Accreditation Council, emphasized the rigor of the evaluation process and the recommendations that will enrich the self-evaluation.

It is worth noting that the Academic Vice-Rector announced that the official visit of the National Accreditation Council will take place in May, with which it is hoped to advance the improvement actions and present the ideal conditions to obtain a successful accreditation from the beginning of the process.
