On May 27, the 2025 Public Accountability Hearing was held, an open and transparent dialogue space in which the main advances achieved in academic, research, technological, administrative and social matters were presented to the university community and the public.
During the day, the institution highlighted results related to strengthening educational coverage, digital transformation, regional impact, and the consolidation of projects that contribute to the development of the territory and the well-being of the communities.
One of the highlighted aspects was the institutional growth in digital and communication spaces, allowing for expanded interaction with Opportunity Creators, graduates, Knowledge and Learning Managers, and the general public. The University reached an audience of approximately 26.8 million people through regional and national media outlets and digital platforms.
Likewise, the strengthening of institutional social networks was evident, with significant increases in platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, consolidating the presence of UCundinamarca in digital environments and citizen participation.
Rector Adriano Muñoz Barrera emphasized that the results presented during the Public Accountability Hearing reflect the institution's commitment to an education focused on human transformation, regional development, and the collective construction of knowledge. He also highlighted that every achievement is the result of collaborative work with the entire university community and strategic partners who believe in a university connected to the needs of the region.
“The purpose of the University of Cundinamarca is to continue consolidating itself as an institution that transforms lives through learning, science, innovation, and service to the community. Each achievement presented in this accountability report represents the collective effort of a university community committed to the present and future of the region,” stated Rector Adriano Muñoz Barrera.
For her part, Dr. Adriana Asención Torres Espitia, Director of Institutional Planning, explained that the event represents an exercise in transparency and participation that strengthens community trust in institutional processes.
During the hearing, progress in research, innovation, university welfare, internationalization, and strengthening of physical and technological infrastructure was also shared, demonstrating the institution's growth in different strategic areas.
The University also highlighted the collaborative work with public and private entities and social organizations, allowing the consolidation of projects focused on sustainability, social appropriation of knowledge and regional development.
The university community participated in this space, asking questions, making contributions and reflecting on the challenges and opportunities facing higher education in the current context.
These results reflect the consolidation of a University committed to the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT), a commitment that promotes training, lifelong learning, innovation and the collective construction of knowledge in service of social transformation and the development of the territory.
