University of the Atlantic opens public call for the appointment of deans

The General Secretariat of the University of the Atlantic informs that by decision of the Superior Council, according to Superior Resolution No. 000001 of February 15, 2018, a public call is opened to appoint permanent Deans of the Faculties of:

  • Educational Sciences
  • Economic Sciences
  • Engineering
  • Legal Sciences
  • Basic Sciences
  • Humanities
  • Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Architecture
  • Chemistry and Pharmacy
  • Fine arts

Those interested must register with the General Secretariat of the University, after fulfilling the following requirements:

  1. Have a university professional degree and a master's or doctoral degree in one of the areas of knowledge related to the Faculty to which you aspire to be dean.
  2. To have been a university professor for a period of no less than five (5) years.
  3. Certify no less than three (3) years of administrative experience in managerial and/or executive level positions.
  4. Demonstrate research experience and/or publications.
  5. Submit an academic-administrative management plan with its respective schedule.
  6. Not having been criminally convicted, except for political or unintentional offenses.
  7. Not to be subject to any disqualifications, impediments, incompatibilities, or conflicts of interest as indicated by the Constitution and the Law.

Deadline for document submission and registration: from February 26 to March 2, 2018 at the General Secretariat of the University of the Atlantic North Campus from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
