This is how you can check job vacancies at the Public Employment Service

Looking for a job It can be a tiring and lengthy task. While the rise of platforms for submitting applications from home has simplified the process, finding a job is still a job in itself.

With the goal of enabling more Colombians to access formal employment opportunities, the following was created: Employment Service Unit attached to the Ministry of Labor. Currently, it has 168,032 open positions.

The Unit is also responsible for authorizing public employment intermediation service providers, such as employment agencies of Family Compensation Funds, municipalities, governorships and SENA.

  1. The employability route begins with the registration of the Resume on the platform.
  2. To register your resume with the Public Employment Service, you must access the following link https://personas.serviciodeempleo.gov.co/login.aspx ,and select the "register" option.
  3. The page will ask you to register your email address and then confirm it in the next field.
  4. Next, it will ask for your basic information to confirm your registration, and finally you will be able to fill out your resume.
  5. Once you have registered your resume, you have two options to apply for different job offers:

Access your resume portal through the following link: https://personas.serviciodeempleo.gov.co/login.aspx , Enter your ID number and password, go to the "My job opportunities" option – "job vacancy inquiry" and there you will see different job offers that you can apply for based on your profile.
  7. Go to the single job portal page: https://www.buscadordeempleo.gov.co/ , Use the established filters to review job offers that match your profile and whether you meet all the requirements.
  8. You must register or join one of the Employment Centers authorized by the Public Employment Service Unit.
  9. You will be able to track job offers you have applied for or the employment agency has nominated you, as follows:
  10. You must upload your resume to the Public Employment Service platform: https://personas.serviciodeempleo.gov.co/login.aspx , with your identity document number and password
  11. Go to the "My Job Opportunities" – "My Processes" – "Search" option. There, you can check the status, progress, or condition of your application for the different vacancies you have applied for.
