This is how we promote ecological mobility in Ubaté

The Environmental Management System promotes the use and adoption of sustainable, clean and ecological transportation within the university community.

For the environmental management system of the Ubaté branch, maintaining and promoting sustainable, clean, and environmentally friendly transportation is of paramount importance. Therefore, during this third quarter, 25 bicycles from the BiciUCundinamarca project underwent maintenance to ensure the continuation of bicycle loans for students, knowledge managers, and administrative staff. This loan program was implemented for a period of four months, equivalent to the entire 2023-2 academic term, with the aim of facilitating easier and more efficient travel to any destination.

A bicycle parking facility was also acquired for the branch campus, where users will have the security and ease of locating the BiciUCundinamarca bikes. Plans are underway to acquire the same facility for the El Tíbar Agro-environmental Unit, given that it is the most frequent destination for students.

On the other hand, this quarter, the Environmental Management System has been preparing the facilities and personnel of the El Tíbar Regional and Agro-environmental Unit to receive the scheduled internal audit for the Integrated Management Systems. An ISO 14001:2015 certification audit is expected in November.
