With the start of the 2025 tax calendar, the University of Cundinamarca is making available to the Province of Sumapaz a free advisory service for the preparation of the income declaration, through the Public Accounting program, Fusagasugá campus.
This important service is provided within the framework of the NAF (Fiscal and Accounting Support Center) agreement, signed with the National Directorate of Taxes and Customs (DIAN), where final semester students and Knowledge and Learning Managers work together with officials of the tax entity to guide citizens.
The service is offered in two modalities:
In-person classes are held on Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the university facilities. Virtual classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, facilitating access from anywhere.
Jenny Alezandra Páramo Aragón, coordinator of the Public Accounting program at the Fusagasugá campus, highlights that the NAF agreement “acts as a bridge between our students, the control entities and the community, providing the opportunity to bring the university closer to society.”.
The coordinator also highlights that this academic practice space has become an enriching educational experience, allowing students to provide a useful service to those who need it most.
It should be noted that the program provides guidance on using the DIAN Portal's online services, assistance with registration, updating, and cancellation of the Single Taxpayer Registry (RUT), as well as with identifying economic activities and tax responsibilities. It also offers support in completing income tax returns for individuals, tax guidance for estates in probate, basic information on refund, compensation, and invoicing procedures, and general guidance on Tax, Customs, and Foreign Exchange (TAC) procedures and services, including responsibilities related to VAT and consumption tax.
How to access the advice?
Those interested can go to the university facilities, Block E, room 207, or to the Secretariat of Economic Development, located in Pueblito Fusagasugueño, where the service point is located.
“Don’t miss the opportunity to receive expert advice and resolve all your tax-related questions,” concluded the coordinator, who reiterated the invitation to take advantage of this valuable educational resource that strengthens the link between academia and social service.
